Do your kids love adventures and exploring new places? Oakland County Parks' OakVentures Day Camp, for kids 6-12 (must have completed kindergarten), consists of county park tours, spending their time in the great outdoors! Possible camper activities may be: making waves at our waterparks, strolling trails through guided nature hikes, lying under the stars in our star lab, shooting archery, scaling a rock wall and soaring through the air with a free standing zip-line! Campers will also spend their days running through inflatable obstacle courses, riding the BMX track, doing crafts, and participating in wacky games to name a few!
Campers are required to bring a lunch, two snacks, refillable water bottle, sunscreen, socks, tennis shoes, bathing suit and towel to camp each day. Trained summer camp staff and Oakland County Parks and Recreation bus drivers will pick up participants and transport to and from our parks each day:

Pick-up Time: 7:50am Return Time: 4:10pm
2019 activity schedule:
Mondays –Use of mobile recreation units (climbing tower, zip line), visit Waterford Oaks Waterpark.
Tuesdays – Visit Red Oaks Nature Center, Red Oaks Soccer Complex, use of inflatable obstacle courses.
Wednesdays – Visit Red Oaks Waterpark and Red Oaks Soccer Complex.
Thursdays – Visit Independence Oaks: activities include shooting archery, fishing, nature hike, nature exhibits. Activities that will rotate each week at Independence Oaks include Starlab, Archelogy Dig, Talks with a Naturalist.
Fridays – Visit Waterford Oaks BMX track, use of giant board games.
*Other activities may include miniature golf, disc golf, lawn games, structured group games, crafts and nature education.
**Included in the cost is a T-shirt and all park entries and tickets throughout the week of camp.
