Day and Overnight Camps
The Right Direction – For Kids. For Life.
YMCA Camp Copneconic is known as one of the best camping experiences in the Midwest. Nestled among 700 acres of wooded lakefront property in Fenton, it offers something for everyone – from traditional camp activities to amazing adventures that include zip lining, water sports, rock wall climbing, horseback riding and more. With age-progressive programming, kids can return year after year to find unique activities designed specifically for their age group.
“Our day camps start at age four and go all the way through those entering the eighth grade. Traditional overnight camps start with kids entering fourth grade through those entering their senior year of high school,” explains Brandon Dreffs, associate executive director at Camp Copneconic.
Thoughtfully designed experiences allow kids and teens to develop skills that will serve them well beyond their time at camp. They will form lifelong friendships with fellow campers, participate in activities that help them conquer fears, and experience adventures designed to build confidence and foster independence.
Day camps run from Monday through Friday, while overnight camps are six days and five nights. Families can choose to sign up for one session or multiple sessions throughout the summer.
As a year-round camp and retreat center, Camp Copneconic also offers a variety of programs that can be tailored to groups of nearly any size. Offerings include school programs, youth retreats, special events and seasonal camps throughout the fall, winter and spring.
